Whats the point of you guys bashing the II? Its a Mustang right? I have a 78 Mustang II and I also own a 2007 GT and I love both of them the same. The II is a part of Mustang history if you like it or not. And for all of you bashing them have you ever drivin one or seen one in person? you might change your mind about them.

I own a '77, an '05, and an '07, and love them all equally, for different reasons. I never cared too much for II's, but saw this one on eBay and fell in love with it right away. Paid $1500 for it, have $200 in it so far (still needs some engine work), and I just turned down $5k for it the other day.

As Kool said, with a 5.0 they're pretty peppy, and with a modded 5.0 they fly. Also, because of a lot of people's hatred for them, and the fact that many were scrapped to use the front suspension, they're getting more rare every day. Many components from the Mustang II front suspension have influenced the cars produced today in one way or another.

Hey devil dog, Its funny the only time I hear anything bad about the II is on these boards. Whenever Im out around town I get nothing but thumbs up and compliments. And i have won awards at cruise nights with it. Most of you guys just jump on the band wagon with the anti II club. you dont know why you hate it but you listen to what other people say and cant have your own oppinon. Have you ever put a II and a sn197 next to each other? They look alot a like....It is a beautiful car that is apart of the Mustang History and its not going any were. Btw my II is far from stock now, and your right kooldawg I put in a 92 shortblock with AFR 165 heads, rpm airgap intake, and a demon carb and that baby flies. Just over 400 hp!So for all you anti II people get educated on the car or shut the F*** up.

Pat, we all have opinions and I can understand your passion for the car, but the last line there in your post is going a little over.

I re-read the responses and other than poking fun, no one got nasty, except you. Sometimes patient, technical data and polite conversation may sway opinion. Sometimes, it simply comes down to a body style, brand or body color that makes people not like a specific vehicle. Trust me, I can talk blue in the face about the grandness of my LS1 equipped TransAm. With a cam swap, free flowing exhaust, headers and a tune I am @ 400+, but these fellas will tell me it is a freak of engineering and ugly to boot. This is fine with me. I bought it, I drive it and they are welcome to their opinion.

In the end, opinions are opinions and that is why we are here. To share them in a respectful environment. I believe this thread has lived a good course and the topic has been beat dead .
