Can I just add a new ground from like the AC bracket to the body near the battery and forget looking for the old one? I want to add a 4 gauge wire ground. (have 3G upgrade, and yes I upgraded the Pos cable to 4 gauge)

One ground wire from the negative battery post to the engine block by the oil filter.
The alternator power ground is from the A/C mount bracket to chassis battery ground where the battery negative post ground pigtail bolts down.
