GRRRRRRRRR Cracked Head....

Ok so i just cracked one of my AFR's talk about a dent in the pocket. Its cracked between the intake and exhaust valve, can that be fixed??? And if not does anyone have a good set of heads???

depending on how bad the crack is, it may be able to be repaired. otherwise it looks like a replacement. i think i still have my stockers if you need something just to get you by. let me know and i will start digging through my parts pile.

How on earth did they crack?

Luckily, aluminun heads can normally be fixed. I've seen some NASTY damage to heads that i thought there was no way of repairing and sure enough in the right hands it was done.

WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!! So far no crack......someone told me that it sounded like a crack in the head because the motor hydrolocked. i just finished tearing it apart. Heres what i found......... after pulling off the upper and lower all 4 water jackets were leaking into the ports I.E. lower intake gaskets were blown at the water jackets. 8th and 4th pistons were full of water. So tomorrow i will have the heads checked for pressure and any warpness. if everything works out i will be changing the cam to an e303 and back together she goes hopefully ill see mid 12's on this badboy..... Thats all for now.

Im impressed man, I appreciate the offer and hopefully i wont need to take you up on the offer. thanks again. Maybe when its all back together we can meet up at moroso sometime...but then again im sure we'll meet up for fun ford weekend.

in your sig it already says you have a custom grind, why would you go to the e-cam?

custom grind was supposed to be for a blower but im going to stay n/a for now funds wont alow for the blowzilla right now maybe down the road. right now i have all top end power and i need the low end torque.
