Do any longtube headers work with the p's without modification?? I was thinking bbk... or maybe macs?

MAC makes a set of P specific headers. I have also heard of guys using BBKs with short plugs and plug wire heat sleeves. I haven't done it myself so I cannot guarantee that it will work with no problems.

i am running p heads and stock headers. i had to trim on a few boots to keep from contacting the header and i hosed clamped a piece of header tape on the number 7 primary and i was good to go.

Who makes short plugs? I just had parts deliver some autolite platinums for a 98 explorer...

I dont wanna use p specific headers because i have some aluminum heads i plan on using with longtubes in about 6 months, so if i could get better clearance out of longtubes than i can with the stock headers that would be ideal..... so does anyone have experiece using longtubes, because i heard theyll work.

I know the ford racing shorties will work with both P and non P heads, i got a set myself. I know thats not what you're looking for exactly but its an option for a header that works with both. No experience with long tubes on a Ford, sorry Bud.
