Gt 500 Decal Stripes Turn Yellow?

My son wants to add white GT 500 stripes on his blue mustang like below (10 inch double stripe). A person that works at a body shop told me they will turn yellow after a year sitting in sun. We do live in Texas so it does get hot.

Can anyone confirm that this is true?

It depends on the quality of the vinyl. The vinyl we use will last 5 to 9 years, it's cast vinyl which is designed for outdoor use. We are located in Fort Worth, Texas & have not had any of the white stripes we have installed turn yellow (we would cover something like that under warranty).
