As long as you keep the boost to a safe level and get a good tune, your engine would be fine.

What #s are you looking for? (hp/tq)

Don't get greedy with the boost and having a safe tune is VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

But, be prepared to fork over the cash if something does go wrong, which it can.

A good safe tune and 400rwhp or less, you will be fine, as long as you don't rag it a every stop light

Look at the Cobra Killer Kit from T&J performance.

A forged motor will not survive a bad tune.
The stock internals will take 12# of boost for many years with a good tune.
Just stay away from the detonation monster and all will be fine.

I am running 14psi on my stock motor. But I have an awesome tune from EDGE products. If you decide to go with the KB 9psi kit (just enough to pummel stock vette's), you will get about 400RWHP and the tune they send will keep you nice and safe.

And yet again, Try not to romp on it at every lite. =) ENJOY

9#'s boost, good KB tune and have survived the lasy 9K miles with my KB blower and 443rwhp. Oh, and I now have 66K miles total on the car.

A good tune and moderate boost levels is the key. I don't know about 12#'s boost though. I've heard 11 is absolute tops.

Even with a built block thing can go wrong. The trottle body got stuck open on my car and bent the valve's on the heads

I would keep it under 10 lbs intercooled , 8 lbs not intercooled 400 to 420 rwhp is about as much as you wanna put on stock bottom end . Im shooting for about 405-415 rwhp once I get an intercooler and some other goodies with my vortech and about 10 lbs of boost

It's all in the tune. A forged motor can handle a little detontation but not for long.
