The Bullitt had a better intake than the GT, so the engine made a little more HP(not to mention better reliability than other pre-'02 4.6es). But the big news on the Bullitt was the suspension and brakes which were basically the same as a Mach's.

Just a basic summary. Someone else may care to make a more detailed post.

Appearance-wise: slightly larger hood scoop, aluminum gas tank door, five-spoke wheels (a la the movie, which a lot of people now have), slightly different rocker panels/trim, aluminum shift knob, aluminum trim ring around around shifter, door sills with "Bullitt" on them.

Performance-wise: a larger twin-bore throttle body, aluminum intake manifold, and higher flow mufflers than those on the GT... spec'd at 265hp.

And don't forget the all-important numbered exclusivity.

I bought a new GT in 2001 and a forest green Bullitt was in the showroom at the time. It seems the price on it was about $2000 - $2500 over that of a GT equipped with the premium package.

Visit www.imboc.com for additional details and info beyond the important differences listed above by '66 coupe and NCSU Thuglife.

Bullitt was for the most part a suspension/looks package. My two favorite parts about it are the white LED gauges and the notched rear corner windows. Instead of going straight down, they sloped back towards the front a little bit. The 13" brakes w/ pony emblems dont look bad either.

You know how when it is night and you turn on your lights the backlighting for the gauges is a grrenish/bluish. Well instead of that green/blue color, it is white. Looks amazing IMO.
