GT vs. Cobra

Does anyone think I would have a remote chance of even hanging with a 96-98 cobra with the mods I have done???

No way!!! If it was a 99-04 2V'r then it would be an interesting race...When my 1998 4V'r was bone stock I was able to pull a 13.6 at 101.58. The 96-98 GT's are lucky to pull low 15's bone stock...DA snake boy!!

13.6??? you had a freak, my buddy has a 98 cobra w/ 4:30 gears, headers, o/r x-pipe and borla side exhaust and he ran a 13.6 on the G-Tech. Im thinking with the mods I have done plus underdrive pulleys, short throw and DR's I'm hoping to break 13's with a 13.99 which is my goal before PI heads.

i have a 96 gt with
3.73
off road bassini X
pullies
t-body
intake
Laurel Mt. road race springs
hd clutch
battery relocation kit

My buddy has a 96 cobra that is stock. I can eat him off the line but he soon flies by. my best 1/4 mile is 14.5 and his is 14.3. @ 4500FT

If he runs 14.3's then he is either a crappy driver, or his engine needs a tune up. What was his trap speed?

No. I raced my buddies 96gt which had full exhaust and cold-air in my other buddies bone-stock 96 cobra and needless to say...we kicked his ass.

From a dead stop, about 4 cars, from a 2nd gear roll, we pulled a car every gear. 96-98 gt's are turtles, and 96-98 snakes are damn quick bone stock.

I was able to hit 14.1 1/4 mile with my bone stock 98 cobra. Haven't tried since the mods in my sig. probly go back after install of 4:30 and a burned chip. My buddy has a 96 qith bbk long tubes, short off-road h pipe, 3:73's, pullies and cold air intake and I eat him up for lunch each time we street race by a least 4 cars.
