Crane p/n 44746-16 are the same rockers the 93 Cobras came with. 1.7 ratio. They clear all valve covers, it's the oil baffle inside that's the contact point , if at all. Doesn't make a difference as to ratio and clearance.

Yeah, crane made the "93 Cobra" 1.7 ratio pedestal rockers and they fit under stock valve covers....for the most part, anyway. When I had my '89GT, I had to modify the original oil baffle under the filler neck.

I have them in the engine in my '68 with the short Mickey Thompson valve covers.

EDIT: good to see another L.A. County native.

ok thanks

maybe the guy i got my gt40's from swapped out the rockers then becasue i already have them installed and the rockers are stock pedestal...look nothing like the crane ones.
and i think they are from 92 or 3...

he said they were cobra's as well. and they are..i know how to i.d. them..i just had no idea of the rockers...or maybe i am a year off.. thanks again.

There was no pre 93 Cobra 5.0. The 93 Cobra valve covers were also stamped steel, plain and painted black. They're also not single ply covers like most, they're made of two layers of steel stampings. This was to deaden the rocker noise from the full roller rockers.

i plan on using the cobra (either from crane or from ford, whichever is cheaper) rockers and some ford racing aluminum heads in the cougar.
