If it was the IAC it would still start once you hit the gas which will let some air in the intake and let it start which is what the iac does. Happened to me many times cuz the clip that holds the connector onto my iac is missing so it disconnects after I hit some bumps and then it will idle wherever I set the base idle and wont start unless I open up the throttle a little.

It's on and off really. Sometimes when I let off the clutch it starts. (this is when the car is moving btw)

Well, hopefully the problem is fixed for now.

I pulled the codes, nothing. Traced all the vacuum lines, no go. Started inspecting connectors, the coolant temperature sensor's connector was totally wiggly. Pulled it off, broken sensor. Bought a new one, no problems. Went to get my car inspected, passed with flying colors.

Who knows? Is it even possible that the coolant sensor could cause the sort of problems I described earlier? If not, hell if I know.

Just thought that I would tell you guys that the problem is fixed, at least for the time being.

i cleaned the IAC and throttle body, still nothing. I went and bought a new IAC and as I was screwing it in it cracked slightly. Really pissing me off.
