I finally got my Global West subframes and crossbraces welded in after a year of putting it off. They made the car much more stiff. I notice the ride is a little more rough on bumpy roads and across RR tracks. Here are some pics, although they are kinda poor.

Nice scissors.

You're ride actually got rougher with subframes? Funny, mine got smoother, oh well. Makes me wish that I'd gotten some full length ones.

My dad and I welded them in. He has like 30 years of welding experience so I figured he could do the job.

By rougher I mean the car just seems not to flex as much. The ride is more firm on bumpy roads. The ride does seem to be better on nice smooth roads though.

Seth, I have Bassani equal length shorties with a Bassani X-pipe.

Shaun, it looks just like my car!!! I have the full length GW subframes on my car and I have yet to see any others that match the overall beefiness of these. I'm very glad I went with them, my flexible flyer really needed them!

Here is the page:http://www.globalwest.net/mustang 79-98.htm#Subframe connectors:

Scroll down until you see part 909-C, that is for verts. I also bought the crossbraces, part 922.

That's what I have, 909-C and the seat tie-in #922. I also run GW LCA's with the del-alum bushings.

those are beefier than mine. i have the keeny brown subframes. suprising actually cause i thought mine were really beefy, well at least compared to others.

OT: and this is why i don't put pics up, you guys pay to much attention to the things around the car. god forbid i have a small oil stain on my garage floor, and everybody would be all over me like flys on *poop*.

Looks good!

I thought you were supposed to weld subframes in while the car was resting on the wheels/suspension? I see your car is on stands unde the body of the car..

I forgot to take pics while we were actually welding them in, so I just put a couple jack stands under the body so I could get back under there and take some pics. I was going to drive my car up on my Rhino ramps to weld in the subs, but since I lowered the car that will no longer work. I had to instead jack the car up and place the Rhino ramps under the wheels

Montreal: I just removed both cables to the battery.
