Ok, new 5.0 owner, 89 LX auto completely stock. Engine has 169,000 on it. Down the road I'm going to have a forged short block with a S/C, but in the mean time I want to upgrade the h/i/c package. The car will be street driven mostly and I'd like a little lop to the cam.

Spend the money on a fresh rebuild first, then figure out the best H/C/I to meet your driving style.

It's hard to beat the TrickFlow kit for performance and price. I am really pleased with mine.

your just getting broke in, those motors are good way past 200.000, no smoking or knocking???? go for it

How much horsepower are you wanting? Specify engine or wheel horsepower also.
