sorry if this is beating a dead horse, but i didnt anticipate this, and i need to order a new h pipe this week, and im looking for something low maintanance. i havent really done enough research on this particular part and im in a pinch. i dont want my CEL coming on, and i dont want to have to clear codes and order all sorts of parts to keep the light from going on. will a catted mac prochamber be okay? best place to get ASAP??

to sum up...

my car was involved in an accident about a week and a half ago, after getting cut off, meaning it road up on an island and hit a pole, toppling it, and running it over. everyone was alright, but the car was banged up to all hell. needs pretty much all new front end work, new front rims and tires, suspension work, new dash (airbags deployed), and now a new hpipe.

at any rate, now that most of the dust has settled with insurance and whatnot, i have to pay my deductible, since the guy never stopped, im going to be found at fault.

ive already accepted that much.

anyways, after talking to my body guy today, he noticed that my stocker was dented in pretty badly. he said he could fix it, but i mentioned i wanted to replace it eventually anyways. i have the opportunity to get an hpipe, covered under my insurance, and installed, covered under my insurance. i also have to deal with inspections in massachusetts, and i dont want to switch hpipes every year to beat the inspection, but id still like something a little louder under there.

i also ordered a steeda q400 hood and a roush bumper, being covered under my insurance except i have to pay my $1000 deductible but it is still a really good price if you figure the actual cost for all 3 parts, with both body parts painted and installed, and the hpipe installed for a grand total of a thousand dollars though my insurance will go up for the next few years but i have a mustang and im use to high rates

Mac doesnt make catted pipes anymore. so you would have to get it used from someone on a forum or ebay.. etc . Or just get a mac catted H used than buy a modular (black one) o/r prochamber and use the legs from the catted h Pipe. You will not need MILS to keep the CEL off if you buy a catted midpipe. If you buy a O/R pipe and running no cats than youll need to either make your own mils of buy the plug and play mils which run like 50-80 dollars.

Good luck on the fix up.
