Received my springs from american muscle, I have a 2004 Gt convertible. Curious to see who is running them without the insulators and with. I know the drawbacks to both but I don't want to do the job twice, any suggestions and pics would help. Thanks

With isolators, but I do have x2 balljoints without spring spacers. So fronts are about a 1/4 inch lower than yours would be. Rears are Super Sports too, except for minor adjusting with my MM XD Adjustable Control Arms.

Be sure to wrap a layer or two of duct tape or electrical tape around the contact area of the spring to help cushion them.

Hope the roads near you are good. The H&R Vert springs are rated for more drop than the Coupe springs. They come in very low even with isolators (as you can see). It was completely impractical up here in Mass. Constantly grounding out was no fun...

007, i do live in Mass, in the brockton area, but Thankfully my company provides me with a work van, so this thing will see very limited usage on weekends and only during summer months. Do you go to any cruise nights or shows in the area. It's been years since i had a stang so I fell off of the car scene.

Theres a good show near me in Sturbridge each year. Sometimes I hit up MustangsUnlimited in CT. Otherwise I have a crowd of my car buddies over every now and then for a big detailing session at my place and some food/beer.

Beware tho mate... I REALLY dont recommend the H&Rs for MA roads. They SLAM verts. I had to remove my front springs and go with Roush instead because it was totally ridiculous! (my car is rarely driven also) Now I'm adding thicker isolators for more clearance. I'd go with Ford springs if I could do it again.

Doing CC plates and shocks as well right?

I used to go all the time to mustangs unlimited shows when I had my 2000, no one could understand why I would drive An hour and half each way to go. For me it was a good time, and nice to see the cars.

So these springs really slam the car huh... I had sportlines on a coupe with the saleen body kit, and didn't have issues, but I know the verts are heavier.

As for cc plates, struts and shocks. I am waiting for those before I install the springs. I'd rather do it once.

I remember right on the H&R website their vert springs were rated for more drop than the coupe springs. Dont know why. 2.6" on the front I think. Fine if you live where the roads are nicely maintained, but up here with frost heaves and snow plow damage everywhere its not good at all.
I could barely get two fingers between the tire and wheel well and got fed up grouding out the K member or nose. I ended up being so paranoid about grounding out that I couldnt even enjoy driving it.

I have a used chin spoiler I can let go cheapo. Its not perfect tho. Has a few marks on it.
