.....then BAM! Blew a head gasket 2/3 of the way down the track. Teach me to run 104 instead of C16 or 117 again.

Anyhow, I got a laugh out of the announcer as this kid in the '93 Cobra asked to line up against me (he didn't know anything about the car though)...... he ran an 11.10 too.

Don't you hate it when the "hungry" guy in grey gets in front of the camera......lol

Nice run Steve. A local guy with a 9 second turbo truck put it into the wall this weekend at our local track after blowing a headgasket and pressurizing the rad with 30lbs of boost. It popped the tanks off of the rad and spewed 3 gallons of coolant onto the track and ultimately onto the rear wheels.

yea he couldn't have walked past at a worse time. That sucks about the hg, but I'm sure you'll get her fixed and you learned your lesson about fuel choice lol.

Don't they make you run water in your radiator at the track? Or at least for a certain time bracket?? I know at ETown, they make you run water instead of antifreeze cause they don't want that **** on the track.
