Welcome to the forum!

You did all the right things with the tune-up. Since you don't have any codes, you may have a tired coil-on-plug or two. And damp weather points to an electrical/ignition problem. Try doing a search and you will find that there have been some issues with COPs. Did you put a little dielectric grease on the inside of the plug boot when you changed out the plugs? The grease helps to keep good contact and prevents corrosion (and poor contact). (My shop manual does not include the +99s so I can't help you with a test procedure for the COP - sorry).

thanks buddy

Yeah all of that was done, I thought maybe someone might have had the same trouble, I like the new Mustang 99 and up , but the 5.0 had a lot going for it also... this one is a lot of fun it turns & handles better, stops better, in 99,000 it only gave me trouble once & that isnt bad, the 5.0 had a much better sound even stock...the seats reclined farther & a few other things I put over 165,000 miles on my 90 coupe still with the original 5.0 motor & tranny ,dont burn oil & is still strong ,and still have it , cant part with it!!!!!!
