Im thinking about buying these but thought I'd better ask if anyone had bought these and had bad or good experience.

You're better off buying full roller rockers. There's not much friction to be lost at the tip. The big gain is with a roller trunion over a ball fulcrum.

Whatever you buy, be sure it is a good quality brand. Some cheaper versions may fail, then you will probably lhave some significant damage

Capri, The roller tip rockers you are inquiring about are superior to stock stamped steel, in that investment casting offers true ratios, wheras stamped steel can vary plus or minus. The newer rockers are also a cheaper alternative to full needle bearing rockers.

PS I have a set on ebay now

If he's running a pre 77 small block, he's got cast rockers already, so your arguement of these being superior over stamped steel is moot.
