Today while doing some full throttle shifts, it came to me. My t-5 is not long to this earth....its in the cards that it will soon detonate.... Its doing its job whell still, but i know.

I was just wondering if anyone has actually done a g-force kit themselves?

I rebuilt my t-5 a while ago and it was quite easy, just wondering if i would need any special tools, etc.

WHile i have you here, i would like to know if the 95/95 g-force or astro kit is available yet, i would enjoy keeping the stock bellhousing.

i rebuilt my t-5 a few months ago. i wanted to do a g-force or astro but the parts were not out yet. i wouldn't think it would be any different than a stock rebuild, only with diffrerent parts. the case is the same as is the bellhousing, i think the only thing a g-force kit requires is a 26 spline clutch disc since the upgraded input shaft is 26 spline. i've put a 94-95 tranny into a fox and vice versa only thing i did was swap the input shafts because our cars have a longer one. i dont know why the kit would be different except for that. 94-95 5.0 trans already have an alloy gear set, they are stronger anyway. well, i'm going to hopefully do the swap by spring if the parts are available.

no ernan didn't have the g-force, he just had a stock t-5, he thought about the g-force but got a better deal on a tko from what I understood...

I am going with either a G-force/astro alloy gearset. From what I remember the big issue is that there is not a hardend input shaft for the 94-95's so you have to keep your stock input shaft (weak link). I didnt know they were making a longer one for the 94+ crowd...that would rock. Either way though the shorter input shaft with the fox bell does not seem to be that big of a deal.

they should have the hardened one for the 94/95 now because I know if you have a g-force you have to swtich to a 26 spline clutch setup...

yeah, i do expect to need a new clutch anyway, the kind cobra is starting to slip.

I plan on installing the new gearset, probably an astro one, but i was just wondering what is involved......if its different than an normal t-5 install.
