Has Anyone Ran a Comp Xe270hr-14?

Single Outer Valve Springs
O.D.: 1.524"
I.D.: 1.110"
Seat load: 122lbs @1.900"
Open load: 309lbs @1.400"
Coil bind: 1.200"
Rate: 373lbs/in
With damper

I went ahead and bought a used E cam, so I guess I'm good now.

Just kidding! Nik, you seem to know your stuff about cams. If you had my combo, which Xe grind would you pick? I don't know much about cams yet and I'm trying to learn.

Let me just say that I know enough about cams to be dangerous, haha. The one in my car is custom, and I helped spec it out, but I wouldn't trust myself enough to spec out cams for other people. So just take what I say with a grain of salt... There are definitely more qualified people out there.

With that said, the XE274 seems to be a decent grind, I see it on a million different magazine builds. It would probably work pretty well with your GT40 stuff, and you's have the lope at idle you're looking for. Make sure it is compatible with those springs, though.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say Nik would say to get a custom grind for a few bucks more....

That would be my first choice for sure! For what he's doing it may not be 100% necessary, but I do think that's always the best way to get the most out of your combo.

I just sent Ed Curtis a cam build sheet. I'm thinking a custom cam would be my best choice because I have no clue what to pick, lol. Now all I hope is to break into the 12's with DR's.
