Hasta la Vista, Gang!

Gonna be outta touch for a few days. Heading for Phoenix and my flight to Saint Loooooooie and rental car to Ft Leonard Wood. Not taking a computer, Ham Radio, model airplane, or anything other than my cellphone, some clothes and some more junk for 1/2NK to take to her training at Ft Sam Houston. When I get back, I'll be staying overnight Saturday 21May, in Tempe for a JCI Senators' meeting; and driving back Sunday, 22May.

Fuzzy, keep the leg-humpers at bay; Chelle, please keep Deanna in the shallow end of the Gutter. We know Dan has two too many thoughts on his plate! :p

Later.

Party-On Trish!!! Show Dad how to drink!

What he said! :stupid:

Sorry, but no....

First, "boots" are not allowed alcohol or tobacco products. They were actually "sniff-tested" upon return from their off-post passes; and we were told that flunking that test meant flunking BCT!
Second, Trish doesn't drink. She once (age 14-15) got into a pitcher of margaritas; and hasn't messed with alcohol since :barf: :barf: :barf:

I didn't even drink anything 'til I got back to Phoenix yesterday! My niece Dina (oldest brother's daughter, she's in her early 30's) picked me up at Sky Harbor airport and, on the way to my motel in Tempe for the JCI Senate meeting; I took her to Ruby Tuesdays, and we killed off a few (6? 8? ??? ) beers with lunch.

Doh! I should've checked the forum a couple days ago! I not only missed you but the Tempe Jaycess meeting Doh!.... This moving to a new house is really taking a toll on me :( Perhaps next time we can meet up again.

Brian, are you a Tempe JC now? I didn't know that.
I wasn't going to the Tempe Jaycees meeting; was going to Arizona JCI Senate June meeting and Annual AZ Senate elections at the Holiday Inn Express on Baseline and Priest. Don't know how deep your involvement with Jaycee's is; but you'll soon learn that the best way to insure you don't get elected to office is to show up in case you have to decline a nomination! :p

Had a good time at the Senate meeting; was good to see them again after 9 months "away". Also, I got the opportunity to play "Proud Army Dad" and show off the pictures of 1/2NK's graduation from BCT. After it was all over; I visited a little with the only other Yuma Senator that showed up; then I went back to my room and died for 10 hours. Drove home Sunday.

Hey, who's idea was it to turn up the furnace while I was in Missouri????

LOL. It's not the heat, it's the humidity. :P

That wasn't even the worst of the heat. We've still got another couple months before we get to the really hot weather.

No no no no; I meant down here in Arizona! It had only hit 102 the day before I left, and I found myself appreciating the jacket I took with me to the greater Waynesville/St Robert Metroplex :D Got back and found myself cruising around in the One-Teens!

Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, I found myself starting to doze off while on I-44 outside Doolittle. Pulled into the Rest Area, used the facilities, grabbed my jacket out of the trunk of my rental Hoopty-car; rolled the seat all the way back and down and passed out. Woke up about quarter to six freezing my a$$ off. I loved it! After spending this afternoon outside chasing a cable pair across a 20-acre trailer park, I really miss that feeling....

Well Jeeze, man - next time close off the vent registers to ny side of the closet! :nonono:

don't you mean close off the vent registers to the az side of the closet?

No, actually; that "ny" was a typo  - supposed to read "my side" (which would be the az side) of the Closet, to which I wanted the heat registers closed! However, you could just close off the air conditioner registers to the NY side of the Closet for a better solution! :nice: :D
