Yeah, good luck with that one...You'll have to try and get the hatch popped, probably from the inside...Then disassemble the lock.

Same thing happend to me.. Ur lock broke. U will most likely have to go from the inside and dissamble it. Good luck. I had to do this on a 100 degree summer day.. sucked. Good luck.

how do i pop the hatch from the inside? Is there a safety switch i can pull? or because you can climb over the seat did they leave that off? and once I've disassembled and fixed the problem how do i keep it from happening again?

You basically have to dissasemble the whole entire hatch area with the lid closed. Sucks, hope ur not scared of tight spaces. Only way I found was to take loose the two-four (cant remember been about 3 years now) bolts that hold the latch down to the body of the car. Then u have to get it out of its hole its bolted in. Real fun job but can be done. The go to ur local bone yard and cherry pick until u find a great one. Try not to buy the actuator unless yours isn't working. I just had to puck up the latch itself and saved about 40 bucks on not buying the electronics. Good luck.
