I honestly don't know if they're rare or, if they are, how rare they are - but I can tell you that they're not exactly interchangeable. It could be a difference in years, but when I installed a set into my car in place of the fixed windows I had to trim some of the forward mounting flange to go around the seat belt mounting point. Beyond that, from what I remember, they bolt in in place of fixed windows.
