overheating, oil in coolant, coolant in oil (white milky mix), thick white smoke coming out from tailpipes, loss of coolant.

what are you symptoms?

well my radiator has a crack so i will be getting one soon. no smoke is coming out of the pipes the oil is fine but the car did overheat once. but that was from not having any coolant in the engine. it leaked once the crack got bigger

ah, same happened to mine except i had spewed all the coolant out the cap versus a crack in the rad. I'm pretty sure that's when i finished blowing the head gasket, once i let it run without any coolant i had no idea it had thrown it all up when i parked it at the store and came back to it hours later.

Anyways, the most concrete proof would be in a compression test, that'll tell you if you have loss of compression which could be due to a blown gasket (among other things...).

Total with parts and labor about 700 but I had to change a
bunch of other stuff while it was torn aprt, plus he had to
plane one of the heads, change timing guides, seals galore, etc.
But that was my decision to get it done. It's been fine since
and the car is driven in Arizona, still no overheating anymore.

It should be cheaper for you if it's just a gasket, I had a ford
tech do it for me on the side. Compression test will reveal if you
really need it.

You can also put a pressure tester on the radiator and run the engine and see if it builds any compression.
