Well, it's not the stang. It's my Blazer, which is WORSE because it's not something to MOD, so tearing it apart to put it back stock.... and winter is here, so I have to drive the stang to work til I get this fixed.

I've never done this before. Any advice? I've been told that since it still runs, that it's probably just a gasket. I'm going to take a butt load of pics before and during so I don't forget things... and mark hoses with tape. Guess I'm going to delete the smog crap too. That's a TON more crap on this 86 S-10 Blazer 4x4 than was on my stang. That crap is everywhere! I figure I won't have to worry about how to hook it all back up if it's not there.

Should I still take the heads to a machine shop? Cash funds are damn low right now.

Can't believe the damn Cheby blew a gasket before a juiced stang.

Is it the little 2.8v6? those things have no arse at all. They were preaty weak motors way to little power for a 4x4. The 4.3 was a little better and based off a 350.

I chickened out... the blazer is at a shop.

Yeah the 2.8 is a bit whimpy, but the thing is awesome in the snow and holds it's own in the mud. I bought it for the snow though.

It's just too light to pull others out of the ditch unless you pop them good.

wimp, i'm doing my sister's 85 poniac grand am, cept it wasn't the head gasket, doh! I think the waterpump took a dump. Basically, i got a lot of steam all of the sudden, and it wasn't the headgasket, the intake isn't wanter heated like some stupid chebies, and all the hoses are connected. I gotta geter done before i freeze too much out there.
prolly should check the oil too, eh?

We're suppose to get ice tonight... I'll be driving my stang 30 mile to work one way tomorrow.

I decided to pay a shop to fix the Cheby, I would rather see it in the ditch than the stang.
