So I am new to Stangnet and its awesome I just wanted to say. I own a 1998 Gt a few minor mods. Im looking to do some drastic changes in the near future. My first Idea was to do a top end swap and put on cobra heads and cams and that whole thing Because I was ticked off that 98 cobras came with 80 more horse off the show room. Then me and my brother got to talking and a few guys at Anderson ford motorsport. They recommend a 2000-04 head swap just the stocks would boost me 40 horse. and I wouldn't have to deal with the pain in the butt cobra swap and Camming the 00' heads and then eventually a 2.6l Kenne Bell because they only make a 2.1L for my current heads. Anderson said with the 00' head swap stock and the kenne bell and cams ill run 11's and he said that doesn't even include stage 3 2000's which I could also do. Just looking for advise : ) Im only 18 and had my stang for roughly 2 years and i'll love em for life.

Do the PI head swap. They came on all 99-04 GT's. Cheap and well worth it. You'll need heads, intake manifold, and cams. Should be worth 40-50hp. Slightly raises your compression ratio.
