Head unit

Hey i'm trying to take out my head unit and can't figure it out sry i'm clueless on stereo stuff??? any help would be greatly appreciated and i'm almost positive i have to take off the plastic right??

With mine i had to remove the trim then i had to use a special tool that unlocks the head unit....a wire coat hanger can also be used. Your head unit may be different since its newer but thats what i had to do.

nope it's the same i removed the plastic had a couple of screws and then put the stock one back on.... i sold my car and now the guys coming to pick it up on sat with the stock system but i'll be happy when i get my gt

You'll need to buy the tool that removes the headunit. You don't even need to remove any trim. Just stick in the tools, squeeze and pull. The sucker pops right out.

well actually i had to remove some of the plastic, because the thing that fills the head units extra hole had screws under the plastic so i had to pop them off but after i figured it out it only took like 5 min!
