header help

Should be cake man. Everything basically bolts right together. Just make sure when you torque down the bolts you do the outside ones first but leave em lose so you can torque the inside ones down. Just like anything that has a multiple amount of bolts spread across it, you wanna make sure you don't torque them in order but in offset so the weight of the header is distributed across the whole header. You don't want any one end of the header supporting the rest of the header while who torque it down or else it will be uneven and a possible exhaust leak could ensue at the gasket or the header bolts could become more likely to work there way back out. Just ake sure you after the header is completely on and you think all of the bolts are torqued down, check em again for snuggness. Also make sure the joint where the pipe meets the header is torqued down well. Exhaust leaks are inherent there as well.

unequal shorties are about the easiest to put on. you shouldnt have any problems, but yes you are going to need to remove the spark plugs and dipstick tube but that part shouldnt take long at all, good luck

If you have some ratcheting wrenches those headers will go in without a problem. They're not necessary, but they sure will make things go faster. The front drivers side and the passenger side bolt closest to the firewall are the hardest to get to. If you can get those out easily, the others won't be a problem. Make sure you give the studs that hold the h-pipe to the headers and to the catback in some penetrating oil. Let them soak overnight if you can. The last thing you want to do is break those bad boys.

Not sure about Flotechs but my on my Macs ratcheting wrenches don't fit on most of the bolts. They were easy to put on, just not as much room to move your hands around as one would like. I'd reccomend good header bolts as well so they don't keep losening up on ya. Have fun with it.

Once your done and all happy about how smooth your header install went. And youve driven it around. Go back and check all the bolts, at least two will be on their way out. I was tightening mine every other day. I would try maybe some lock washers, or the ARP stud kit that i got. Those will help the backin out problem.

tried to replace my h-pipe this weekend and regardless of the penetrating oil I already snapped one stud on the factory headers, thinking if I can't re-drill the headers in the car I will replace them with the Flowtechs...
