is it necessary to install a pair of headers either long or short tube with out having to pull the motor out? and can you give any other additional advise that might be useful prior to starting one of these tasks thanks

Are you asking if it is possible to install headers without removing the motor?

yes...you don't need to remove the motor..

oh ok...beacuse ive heard sometimes that clearance is too much of an issues so the motor needs to be lifted out a little bit
