Anyone have any recommendations for headers on an 02 S281 S/C?

Info on performance gains?

well legally you can only use CARB approved shorties. generally a long tube will give the most power.

I just put on bassani ceramic coated mid lenghts. They sound awesome and I felt a good seat of the pants difference in power. They say 15-20 hp.

My ceramic bassani mid lengths and stainless catted X are in process as we speak at the shop, will advise when completed. Can't wait......

Wash-you will love them! My 3.73 gears should be here tomorrow. I think my buddy and I are gonna install them this weekend! I can't wait!!

Anyone used the BBK long tubes with off-road H-pipe? How are they?

I have BBK Long Tubes with BBK o/r H-pipe...It sounds great...I love the sound of the car now way more then with the x-pipe...

I have the BBK long tubes and o/r x-pipe. Love the sound. I could really tell the difference in power. I woke up my blower. Deffinitely get the long tubes. U won't regret it!

Long tubes would be awesome but for those of us in California, where just about any mod is illegal and long tubes are out of the question, are the shorties worth it performance wise? If they are, what brands are good? I've heard mixed reviews.

Shorties will only give you maybe 5 hp. JBA makes good shorties. You could also good with a bassani midlength. They are pretty close to what the long tubes give in hp.

I am in Cali and have JBA shorties on mine. I really didn't notice that much gains but it sounded better. I also have a Magnaflow catted-x and Borla Stingers.

I just ordered a set of JBA shorties for my car. Figured now is the perfect time to do it with the motor out. I'm not sure about gains either, but I'm all about improving the sound. Your car sounds awesome Shaun, hopefully I can get somewhat similar results with the magnaflows.

That's what everyone says.I am also debating on getting the race tune with the 12lb pulley.Should put me around 450rwhp on the stock block.I am not sure if I should do it.If it blows on the dyno my wife will probably **** me .

Go with bassani!! I have a full bassani exhuast, headers and all and I love them, plus a have baffles that are removable so it can be loud and quiet, it's pretty awesome!
