I would like to get some exhaust work done on my car and was wondering what order I should go in? I know the best way would be to get headers, mid pipe, and cat back all at once, but I can only afford one or the other. What's your opions? I was thinking of going with BBK 1 5/8" Longtubes with the BBK O/R H-Pipe. Or if I go with just a cat-back system I was thinking about the magnaflow setup. Does that sound good? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

well if you want to add some horses, headers/midpipe would work, a cat-back would just change the sound.....

I'd like to get better sound and power. The car only has 3.55's and subframes and nothing done to the engine. I plan on bumping the timing in the very near future.

What are you looking for, to change the sound, or up the power output of your vehicle first? The other mods have you got done to your car will determine what kind of additional horsepower you would gain? If your car is primarily stock, you'd probably see the most gain from upgrading your stock H-pipe.

Well, if that's all you've got done to your car. Then opening up the exhaust track isn't going to give you any noticeable power. At this point I might install a cat-back for sound, but the other two aren't really necessary until you've got a few more goodies to move the air though your system.

If no other breathing mods are planned in the near future, go ahead and satisfy your craving for better sound buy buying a Cat-Back. Then as the mods progress, work your way through the exhaust system to the front of the car.

Headers should be the last thing you do for exhaust. Like everyone else is saying, if you want sound, get a cat-back. Or just get some mufflers welded in, and have it dumped after the mufflers if you want it hella loud. If you want power and some sound, get an o/r h-pipe. I was blown away by how much power mine unleashed. Maybe my cats were clogged. I'd vote for the mid-pipe, cus it's the cheapest, and the easiest to install, and it produces the best results.
