Headers look like crap...tips on how to make look like new again

My headers look like crap. I have mac shorties about 3 years old. They look like typical headers, rusted and worn, but they function great. Any tips or advice on what i can do to improve the way they look. I don't want to buy new headers when these work fine, they just look pathetic.

I know painting and heat wrap is an option, but i would prefer not to have to remove them. mac headers are notorious for not going back on correctly once removed.

Well.. if you don't want to remove them, paint them, or wrap them, I don't see what options that leaves you.

yeah, I can't think of anything else either. I mean, I guess you could use some steel wool or something if they're not currently painted.

Yeah you pretty much answered your own question. There isn't much you can do and painting will only hide it for a little while. I say wrap them or save up for some ceramic headers next time.

I guess i'll have to save up for ceramic...i hate the rusted look....thanks guys....
