To those of you who have installed headers on your 99 -04 was it worth the trouble?

Yes it sure was. I would go with mid lengths though. Longtubes are a pain in the ass!!! I had BBK Longtubes on mine with O/R X Pipe and Bassani Catback.....I was waking the neighbors up lol!!!

umm i dont know if the guy aboe did his own, but i did and i have tublar k and it was real hard, if your go with lts, plan on changing you clutch b4 u put them in, because once there in you cant take trany out. its a major project, but worth the outcome

Lol uh uh I didnt do mine...I did shorties on my 96GT and that was a pain.....never again!!!!

shorties are pointless

midlengths make almost long tube power without the clearance issue

longtubes make the power, but stick with Mac (blah), kooks (expensive) or hookers...those dont get in the way of tranny work. They will also make the most power.

long tubes

i went with the slp long tubes, as far as clearance, i know for a fact kooks dont clear and the mac's are crap and will rot out, as far as hookers, ive heard they might clear the transmission
