i want to get headers for my'65 coupe. i heard from lots of before that there some clearance problems with certain ones. what headers can i get that will not hang too low and not to expensive?

Find yourself a set of Tri-Ys, they are inexpensive, they fit, and were the same type of headers Shelby used on the GT-350 289s.

You can get a set of ceramic coated Tri-Y headers from a lot of places for less than a set of black painted headers of other designs.

Long tubes by nature give clearance problems but the power potential is better than shorties. I really like Hooker supercomps myself and I didn't have any clearance problems with anything including my C6. It was a pain to install though.

Will regular HOOKER COMPS fit my '65 289? SuperComps are too expensive:(
