headers?

i have a 66 coupe with 85 roller 302,620 1" lowering coils in front, and with c4 transmission.i would like the car to sit fairly low. what header would be best shortie header or tri-y's?

If you are going to lower it.......shorties.

You can get longer headers that wont hang too low. Check out Dougs brand. Also, since you have a 5.0, did you move the dip stick back to the timing cover ? If it is still in the side of the block it might limit your choices a bit.

yea! i did move the dipstick to the timing cover.i did plan on making the car sit fairly low. it does have 4.5 leaf mid eye leaf springs on the back.

Sounds like you are doing ok, is it using the 351w/5.0 firing order or the 289/302 firing order ?

with only a 1" drop in front i would go with the tri-y's.

i'm going with the 5.0 firing order. i have bought some shortie headers a while back but they are not specifically for my year so i may have the wrong ones anyway. i think what i'm going to do is to wait until i get the motor in the car ,see how low it sits, and go from there. i would like the car to sit fairly low.
