what products would you recomend to brighten the headlights and paint, i was planning on using rubing compound for the paint but if you know somthing better and not too pricy let me know. as for the headlights all the stuff i tried only worked for a few months then they get yellow again.

Anything you do with the headlights isn't going to be a permanent solution. Before I replaced my lights, I wet sanded the lenses with 800 then 1000 grit, then went over that with 3M rubbing compund, and finished up with a good coat of wax. That lasted the longest of any method I've tried.

I made mine last 10 years by sanding/polishing, but what people don't seem to realize is that the inside gets worn too. The reflector inside is an important part of how bright your lights are. If I had known how much better I could see with new ones, I would have replaced them sooner. IMO, OEM is the best for the headlight.

ok. what about the paint, the sides of the car dont look so bad the the engine hood and roof are prety dull and have plenty of swirles.

My 91 lenses are almost opaque.

I found I can get a set of clear Cobra style headlights at NAPA. I was told $75.00 for the pair but I havent been over there yet to check on them. I already bought clear corners and clear marker lights from a local speed shop.

If you wanna go cheap, this place has them for $105 shipped. Probably not the quality of OEM, but better than your old yellow ones.

You can waste your time getting them 80% clear with polishing compound, and various grits of sandpaper, or you can drop a little over a hundred dollars and have OEM Ford headlamps that can be properly aimed and won't fog up.
