Hello,
I have a Y2K GT.

I added all Cobra R body pieces including the tinted headlights.

Anyone with tinted headlights have a problem seeing?

I can leave the brights on and still not have the visibility that I had with low beam clear headlights.

Ive tried everything from 20% brighter OEM replacement bulbs to ultra whites...And it hasnt gotten better with either.

Bulbs

The only thing I can suggest is Sylvania Silverstar bulbs, They are the best going. They may or may not help with those smoked lenses. Mustang headlights suck anyway and to smoke them was not a great move.

make sure that your lights are adjusted properly.

my headlights were cockeyed bad from the factory. i tried 2 dif sets of bulbs trying to figure out why one light was dimmer than the other. i finally realized how bad they were off while driving thru some heavy fog.

park your car in a garage/carport or somewhere with flat ground and a wall in front of you.. have the car about 10ft back and adjust the lights so the beam is focused somewhere between your knees and waist.

you need an allen key set to adjust them. there are points on top and on the back of the headlamp assemblies for this. the adjuster on top controls verticle angle (play with this one), the one on the back controls horizontal.

I have Silverstars, people always tell me my lights are crazy bright if I'm following someone. I don't think the housings are -that- tinted that it'd make any difference.

I also have silverstars and hyperwhite fogs...what's funny is that when I installed my Cobra lenses I didn' adjust them properly so they are pointed a tad down too much, but with those lenses and the silverstars they're still just as good as the stockers were!

Now if I'd only get off my lazy ass and adjust them....:spot:
