Electrical Headlight Problems

I have an 08 Bullitt and when I hit the dimmer switch to change from low beams to high beams the high beams come on but then go completely dark. When I hit the dimmer again the low beams come on and stay on. Any ideas on what I need to look at to get them working properly again?
