Headlight Question

I have a 2002 gt and my headlights have that cloudy look on the outside. is there anything that will restore them and get that crap off?

i tried wetsanding mine this weekend. didnt work. i'll be buying some new ones from mustangtuning.com

streetstang- yea the mustangtuning ones look badass. i just ordered the mustang tuning fogs and put them in and i love them. the light is much whiter than the stock yellow looking light

no problem. just follow that guys instructions to a T. his turned out pretty good. you may even want to remove them and do them somewhere easier. also i think you need to keep them we while wetsanding and dont apply too much pressure. i could be wrong, so just follow those instructions. good luck man!

if that doesnt work, then i'd go with what streetstang said and get the ones from MT

I have a similar issue. Plus, I have some rather nasty discoloration happening around the weatherstripping in the headlight assembly:



Rather than screw too much with them, I decided to just head to Ebay and get a new set.

ya, thats how mine are looking. i removed them from my stang on sunday afternoon and tried the whole wetsanding/polishing process and it didnt help much. it looks better, but still not where i want them to be. im done ****ing with them. im just getting new fogs and headlights

Got the new set of lights in this evening. With xenon bulbs. I'll take pics tomorrow and post 'em.

those the stock smoked headlights off of eBay? i saw someone selling that setup eariler...

Also never use window cleaner with ammonia in it, it can discolor clear plastics.

Yeah I tried the whole wetsanding thing, washing em' out, drying them with a blow dryer and it did squat. So i just splurged on a new set.
