Headlight wiring

So I’m trying to fix my fog lights and I see a jumper wire on the fuse panel in #5 turn signal spot I pulled headlight switch and that wire was tied into the other main power wire. So I removed the ties in wire and I lost my headlights but everything else worked besides brights but flash to pass work. Interior dash brake lights all work but headlights don’t work unless that jumper wire is tied in

Those were the days. No cell phones. No cordless phones. No credit / debit cards. Only 4 channels on TV. News was news, mustang magazines came monthly, and JC Whitney was the part king.
