Car is a 2002 GT coupe
So I go to get a cd today from my passenger side visor folder and when I pull the visor down the top of the cd is wet.
I put my hand on the headliner and it appeared only to be wet directly above the visor.
The visor is above the windshield so I don't think thats the problem. I think it must be getting in somewere under the piece that goes along the roof and A-pillar.
How the heck do I take it off?
I don't want to just start prying and breaking clips or anything.
Does anyone have a pic of a mustang with the panel off so I can see where abouts the attachment places are?
Anyone else have this problem? That trim piece is the only thing I can think of that would make a leak in the roof that high.

I'd take the car to a glass place where they replace windshields and ask for help there.

Can't take it back to Ford, it's 6 months out of warrenty.
Like I said in the first post I don't think it's the windshield because it is just the area obove the visor which is higher then the windshield.

Windshield places do work around that area.. they can at least tell you for sure.. whether or not it has anything to do with where the windshield meets the roof. I'd imagine it'd be worth a shot.

My car leaks when i go through those automated car washes, it comes in through the driver side window right where it meets the roof when rolled up. It freaked me out the first time.. Apparntly my window doesnt roll right enough to the roof or something.. heh

Mine did that on the drivers side.. it was the weather stripping along the top of the door (where there's that piece that sits right on the side of the roof.) The Ford dealer just replaced that and it never leaked since.

Was it the piece (weatherstrip) between the panel and the roof, or a piece under the panel more towards the door jam area?

I'd swear Ford got REALLY skimpy on the sealant because this is such a common complaint. I've got the same issue, but on the pass side (on the windshield) and both the top and the bottom seals on the back window. Crappy QC, IMO.
I fixed the lower portion of the rear window seal myself with common hardware store window sealant. (Didn't feel like giving up the car for 2 days and driving around in a Fiesta or something...not for a problem I could easily fix myself in 10 mins.)

Hard to tell which one you're describing.

Stand next to your drivers side door looking toward the door. Reach your hand up and touch the center of the roof.. now slide your hand back toward you along the roof til that little panel stops your hand from sliding. There's weatherstripping right underneath that panel you should have your hand against.

good one.

I wouldn't rule out the windsheild driving it in rain could force water up and into all kinds of places too.
Mine leaks on drivers side where the back of the window touchs the weatherstripping. Oh well could be worse could be like T-tops in a GM.

BTW were your windows up was there any moisture anywhere else in the car. could be dew or something.
