C9ZE-6A564-c is just the guide plate # for boss 302 heads. You need the casting # of the head its self to figure out what the are.

D1ZX-9425-FA was Ford's over the counter high rise single plane intake for the Clevelands. This means it was available only thru their parts dept. not something that came on the engine from the factory. 9J30 is the date code for the heads, not the casting numbers.

You sure about the intake part number? IIRC the "FA" intake was the one set up for a Holley Dominator (read "huge") carb. Strictly over the counter. Worth big bucks on Ebay, lousy for a street car.

The intake number could of been a I instead of a 1.That would make the number DIZX-942-FA. Im looking for a street motor so maybe I should pass On the intake.Ill check for the head casting numbers under the intake ports. Thanks again for the help.Just trying to decide if this would be a good setup for my 69 mustang.

According to both "Ford Performance" & the "High Performance Ford Parts Interchange" book, that's what the D1ZX-FA intake is. I for one, sure as hell wouldn't pass on it because of it, unless the seller wanted some obscenely outragious price for it. You can always ebay something like that.

That's a good racing intake. Or good for someone who wants to squeeze all they can from the upper rpms on the street. ( I for one, prefer to keep the peak power in the low to mid range, the upper rpms just stress everything to the limits)
