Heads help

With my new summer job, i can actually consider purchasing some nice cylinder heads (still cant afford alum but o well). Anyways im kinda torn between two diffrent heads. The 69 C90E heads and these ported E7's that my friends machinist makes. You can see the info on these heads here: http://www.hunterstyle.com/thumper/combos.php

I already have intake/cam/headers and im just basically looking for a high 13 second/low 14 second Daily driveable moostang. btw my engine is the original 66 289. Which heads would be the best bang for the buck

Get the Thumper E7's. Then get em milled to lower the chamber volume to better suit your 289. You'll also need to check that the coolant passages line up.

Thumper460 has a reputation in the 5.0 forum as doing good port work. Some people with fairly matched combos have approached 300rwhp with E7s. Something else to consider are iron GT40s.
