My stang wouldnt start so I checked the fuel pressure and not getting any, when I turn the key hear my fuel pump prime (sounds loud). I checked my fuel filter it was ok but I went a head and replaced still same problem. Could my fuel pump be leaking internaly? What should I check next?
Im tempted to un-hook the line coming from the fuel pump to the fuel filter and prime it up to see if fuel shoots out. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.
well i removed my fuel filter and tried priming it up and no fuel came out, so i ended up replacing the pump just now. I checked fuel pressure after replacing pump its between 30psi -35psi, (stock pump) 89 notch, that normal?
car now starts up just fine
I guess the old pump was making noise but wasnt pumping fuel. noticed some metal flakes on the strainer. Here it is.
