Anyone care to tell me the cause of this problem?

Air condition and heat won't come out of any of the middle vents (driver side, center column, passenger side) but it will work coming out of top (by windshield) and floor.

Problem / Solution? thanks..

Vacuum for your cabin controls are sourced at the vacuum tree on the driver's side firewall. It travels across the firewall with a hard plastic line. It ends at the three-way check valve. The two exits go to...

1) Passenger fender reservoir (WOT source)
2) Cabin controls

More than likely you have a cracked vacuum line, or the source line that goes into the cabin has come off the controls.
