Heat cycling header bolts

I have my k-member dropped and am installing long tubes on my 4.6. I have read that I should heat cycle the header bolts before giving them a final tightening. Do you guys that have installed headers let it warm up while being supported by the jack or after it being supported by the k-member and motor mounts? thanks

Is it safe to run the motor being only supported by a jack with a board under the oil pan?

Ya you should tighten them, run the motor, then check 'em. Then check 'em again after a while.
