If you're really dead set on getting a new HE take a look at the Gords Ford unit. One of the best out there and fits like a glove. Most HE's mount right where the stocker is and are parallel with the bumper.

Do you plan on drag racing and hot lapping your car a lot? Just curious as to why you want to spend money on a mod which you may never see any benefit from...

Well just so you know there is no performance increase by adding a larger HE. All a larger HE will do is allow your intercooler to cool down quicker when you're not in boost. They are kind of a waste of money for a daily driver.

Why not just go ahead and buy a copy of Windows 2000 or XP for your PC instead?

Sitting in traffic for long periods of time will not cause detonation. The HE will have NO EFFECT on detonation. It's sole purpose is to allow the intercooler the ability to return to normal operating temperature quicker than normal when not in boost.

yes but if i hammer it right after sitting long time, that could cause detontion. the sct tuner thetll give me 225 bucks back for it.cause it was in a kit form..i dont know if i should keep it or exchange it for the heat exhanger?

Negative. Your ECM will pull back timing automatically if it see's IAT2 temps above a certain level thus preventing detonation from occuring. Your scenario could only occur if you were to run low octane (read non-premium) fuel, or your tune was so f'ked up it's commanding too much timing to begin with.

I've heard nothing good nor bad about them. What were you thinking about having them do for you?

I would be very leary of any shop that states you need a new MAF without ever putting it on the dyno and establishing the fact that it truly is pegging at 5v!!! I seriously doubt an unported Eaton with a 2.76 is gonna be pegging the MAF. Even so there are better ways to handle that problem without resorting to a new MAF. Even though you are unable to interface the SCT tuner you have with your home PC what is preventing you from using it on the car? Didn't you buy the tuner as a package deal along with the 2.76 pulley? Didn't they pre-load a custom tune onto the SCT unit before shipping it to you? If so why are you not using it?

The canned factory pulley tune maybe, but did they not provide you with a custom tune already loaded into the handheld tuner?
