...or slide each broken end into small piece of rubber vacuum line until you can get a replacement.There is a very thin hard vacuum line that runs along the firewall, it breaks all the time. Check it out. If it broke, you can take a piece of thin hollow brass tube (from a hobby supply shop) that fits snugly inside the vacuum line and use that to reconnect the two pieces where it broke.
