I might be getting a pair of these for someone. He is not sure which make it is so has anyone used them. Can you tell me if they fit good or not. Do they interfer with the steering shaft like the Mac longtubes. I have them on my car now.

heddman or hooker, they are 1 3/4 and have the 3 inch collectors

i got bbk's and the only reason that you should have rubbing probs on the S/H is you got bad motor mounts or your motor is siting tilted..............

My motor mounts are new and the motor is sitting straight. I have the Flaming River Manual rack kit and my the mac Long tubes still rub. I don't knw if you have seen the Mac setup I think I have the old style. But the header pipe makes the steering shaft run between the header pipe. You have to unbolt the steering shaft just to get them on and off.

I have 1 5/8 Hedman LT's and I like them, the construction of them is very good, the fit isnt the greatest but is acceptable and one big gripe of mine was installation. Even with 7/16 header bolts a few bolts were near impossible to start, over all tho nice headers, no leaks, great power, and good sound.
