Hello to all. I am yet another newbie to the site. I live in a small town in NE Montana. my first car was an '84 Mustang Coupe 4cyl 5spd, but my dad picked it up for a couple hundred and after we got it running it never let me down. I have since owned nearly 20 other vehicles but never got back into another mustang. Over the last couple of years I've been wanting more and more to get another one. Last spring I picked up a Crown Vic from a local police auction for 900 with 45k on it. Originally I was thinking about fixing up the Crown Vic but after thinking about it, why put all this money into fixing up the Crown Vic to make it as fast as a Mustang when I can find a Mustang and make it faster then most? So after months of looking around I found a straight '96 Mustang with a blown head gasket that the guy only wanted 500 for. So now my new project will be here tomorrow and I'm looking forward to tearing into it. My plan is to take the 4.6 out of the Crown Vic and put it into the Mustang. I recently had my first baby, a boy, and am looking forward working on this Mustang w him as he grows up and being able to give him a Mustang for his first car too.

That's a great story Beau. First of all,...congrats to the new addition to the family, and second,...congrats to the new Mustang project. I myself have a son, and I'm hoping as you are, to have him by my side when it's time to do some work to the Stang. He calls it "his race car", and doesn't ever want to ride in anything else. When you get the project up and running, I'd love to see some progress pics as you go.

Welcome! I lived in Plentywood Mt. years ago. You do not get much more NE Montana than that. I graduated from Antelope High School. Was the last graduating class. The school burned down my senior year, and NO! I did not start the fire .
