To begin let me inform you that i am the proud new owner of a 2001 zinc yellow mustang GT. i have owned the car since late november.

Begining in spring i will be taking my car to the drag strip and i have never raced at a track before and would like some tips if possible.

Also i would like to know pointers on adding nitrous to my car, how large of a shot it could take stock, what else should I be changing. the car is totaly stock right now and i'm looking for more power and the ability to beat even more cars at racing. i am challanged quite often around town and i would like to be able to beat the firebirds, trans am's, ect... around town. i love killing ricers but beating more american V8 power would be nice. money isnt a huge issue but i dont have it growing on trees or anything( i'm only 18 but with a good job).

also.... i want to make my GT look like the 2000 cobra R. what company makes the best kit? i was looking at cevinis kit. i love this look!!!

any advice would be appreciated and i look forward to talking with you all in the future.

Go with either Cervini or the actual ford pieces. Do NOT buy the ABC exclusive stuff it is absolute s@#$. I bought the cobra r bumper cover from them and it was the s234iest thing I have ever seen. It eventually broke and had all sorts of probs with it. Cervini is nothing but quality and I have the Ford hood from www.gefracing.com The hood isn't finished underneath like the cervini one is however I installed the old hood blanket and it coveredall of the unfinished parts of the hood. It was good quality and is A lot lighter than the stock one. The fit was perfect. If you have any more questions about either feel free to PM me. Oh, here is a pic of the hood

I know many here will agree with me but if your going with NOS, then ditch the stock intake. BIg power and a plastic intake.. you do the math. If I had the money for it Id go with the new P51 intake, its a long runner intake for good torque.

P.S. If money isnt an issue...can I hit ya up for some exhaust money?

If money isn't a bad issue then instead of buying a nitrous kit and installing a new intake I would go ahead and just buy a Kenne Belle supercharger. It replaces your plastic intake and you can pick them up for around 4k total. a nitrpous kit and all of the goodies is going to be around 1k and then the intake is another 1400 and 30 bucks to fill up the bottle everytime you use it and a custom tune you might as well have bought the blower. I am not biased cause I spray but I am saving for the kenne belle. I am in the Army so I can only do a little at a time
